Question 1

What do front end 2024 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 670 recorded sales of the 2024 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS with front end damage, the median was $10,800, from $5,300 to $17,700. That is 16% below the $12,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,850 a good price for this 2024 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS?

Accepted Answer

1508 comparable 2024 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS listings sold at auction for a median of $12,800, spanning $6,100 to $20,000. At $3,850 this one went 70% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MA - NORTH BILLERICA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 220 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $275-$400, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2024 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS's pre-damage retail value at $36,024. It sold for $3,850 — 89% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 6

Is 12,135 miles high for a 2024 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2024 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS listings at auction averaged 26,304 miles across 1508 sales, so at 12,135 miles this one sits 54% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
