Question 1

Was $9,300 a good price for this 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS?

Accepted Answer

1033 comparable 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS listings sold at auction for a median of $7,200, spanning $4,100 to $12,650. At $9,300 this one went 29% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS's pre-damage retail value at $30,241. It sold for $9,300 — 69% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in KY - WALTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 500 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $425-$600, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 71,220 miles high for a 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS listings at auction averaged 58,588 miles across 1033 sales, so at 71,220 miles this one sits 22% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
