Question 1

What do mechanical 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 28 recorded sales of the 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS with mechanical damage, the median was $4,050, from $3,300 to $5,800. That is 9% below the $4,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,500 a good price for this 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS?

Accepted Answer

1577 comparable 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS listings sold at auction for a median of $4,450, spanning $3,250 to $6,500. At $5,500 this one went 24% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in TX - HOUSTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 151,667 miles high for a 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS listings at auction averaged 118,735 miles across 1577 sales, so at 151,667 miles this one sits 28% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
