Question 1

What do hail 2020 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 24 recorded sales of the 2020 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS with hail damage, the median was $9,400, from $5,200 to $12,600. That is 57% above the $6,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $10,600 a good price for this 2020 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS?

Accepted Answer

320 comparable 2020 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,000, spanning $3,500 to $9,900. At $10,600 this one went 77% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in TX - HASLET. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 64,716 miles high for a 2020 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS listings at auction averaged 79,874 miles across 320 sales, so at 64,716 miles this one sits 19% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Who sold this 2020 VOLKSWAGEN ATLAS?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
