Question 1

What do front end 2017 TOYOTA RAV 4 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 3295 recorded sales of the 2017 TOYOTA RAV 4 with front end damage, the median was $5,100, from $3,550 to $7,300. That is 6% below the $5,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,400 a good price for this 2017 TOYOTA RAV 4?

Accepted Answer

7225 comparable 2017 TOYOTA RAV 4 listings sold at auction for a median of $5,400, spanning $3,700 to $7,800. At $8,400 this one went 56% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this TOYOTA RAV 4 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 TOYOTA RAV 4's pre-damage retail value at $22,357. It sold for $8,400 — 62% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this TOYOTA RAV 4?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 TOYOTA RAV 4 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

Is 66,655 miles high for a 2017 TOYOTA RAV 4?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 TOYOTA RAV 4 listings at auction averaged 110,800 miles across 7225 sales, so at 66,655 miles this one sits 40% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

How far is this TOYOTA RAV 4 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in WY - CASPER. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 900 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $575-$850, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
