Question 1

What do front end 2016 TOYOTA RAV 4 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 2552 recorded sales of the 2016 TOYOTA RAV 4 with front end damage, the median was $4,800, from $3,500 to $6,900. That is 6% below the $5,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,700 a good price for this 2016 TOYOTA RAV 4?

Accepted Answer

5587 comparable 2016 TOYOTA RAV 4 listings sold at auction for a median of $5,100, spanning $3,550 to $7,400. At $3,700 this one went 27% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this TOYOTA RAV 4 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 TOYOTA RAV 4's pre-damage retail value at $7,350. It sold for $3,700 — 50% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this TOYOTA RAV 4 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MN - BLAINE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 1,100 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $725-$1,050, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 TOYOTA RAV 4. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 197,155 miles high for a 2016 TOYOTA RAV 4?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 TOYOTA RAV 4 listings at auction averaged 123,296 miles across 5587 sales, so at 197,155 miles this one sits 60% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
