Question 1

What do front & rear 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 55 recorded sales of the 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER with front & rear damage, the median was $6,750, from $3,450 to $8,400. That is 5% below the $7,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,100 a good price for this 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

3401 comparable 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings sold at auction for a median of $7,100, spanning $4,200 to $9,800. At $8,100 this one went 14% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 71,527 miles high for a 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings at auction averaged 133,102 miles across 3401 sales, so at 71,527 miles this one sits 46% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

This TOYOTA HIGHLANDER has front & rear and left side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Who sold this 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
