Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 24 recorded sales of the 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $10,900, from $5,700 to $15,000. That is 28% above the $8,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,500 a good price for this 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

3381 comparable 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,500, spanning $4,800 to $12,600. At $8,500 this one went exactly at that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in KY - EMINENCE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 500 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $425-$600, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 145,742 miles high for a 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings at auction averaged 111,205 miles across 3381 sales, so at 145,742 miles this one sits 31% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
