Question 1

What do front end 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1552 recorded sales of the 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER with front end damage, the median was $7,500, from $4,150 to $10,900. That is 6% below the $8,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,800 a good price for this 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

3108 comparable 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,000, spanning $4,450 to $11,900. At $9,800 this one went 23% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER's pre-damage retail value at $11,389. It sold for $9,800 — 14% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This TOYOTA HIGHLANDER has front end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 254,275 miles high for a 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings at auction averaged 122,562 miles across 3108 sales, so at 254,275 miles this one sits 107% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
