Question 1

What do front end 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1943 recorded sales of the 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER with front end damage, the median was $6,800, from $4,200 to $9,450. That is 4% below the $7,050 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,200 a good price for this 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

3519 comparable 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings sold at auction for a median of $7,050, spanning $4,200 to $9,800. At $7,200 this one went 2% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER's pre-damage retail value at $17,046. It sold for $7,200 — 58% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

Is 135,536 miles high for a 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings at auction averaged 133,447 miles across 3519 sales, so at 135,536 miles this one sits 2% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This TOYOTA HIGHLANDER has front end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
