Question 1

What do rear end 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 319 recorded sales of the 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER with rear end damage, the median was $10,000, from $5,900 to $13,700. That is 18% above the $8,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,500 a good price for this 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

3496 comparable 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,500, spanning $4,800 to $12,700. At $6,500 this one went 24% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This TOYOTA HIGHLANDER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in SC - SPARTANBURG. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 301,164 miles high for a 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings at auction averaged 111,342 miles across 3496 sales, so at 301,164 miles this one sits 170% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
