Question 1

Was $7,000 a good price for this 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

3573 comparable 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,500, spanning $4,800 to $12,650. At $7,000 this one went 18% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a clear mean for this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in VT - ESSEX JUNCTION. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 300 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 253,614 miles high for a 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings at auction averaged 111,656 miles across 3573 sales, so at 253,614 miles this one sits 127% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER was listed at IAAI as lot 45704085 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
