Question 1

What do top/roof 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 13 recorded sales of the 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER with top/roof damage, the median was $10,100, from $7,800 to $12,000. That is 26% above the $8,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,600 a good price for this 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

3086 comparable 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,000, spanning $4,400 to $11,900. At $12,600 this one went 57% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER's pre-damage retail value at $23,809. It sold for $12,600 — 47% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

How far is this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in SC - SPARTANBURG. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
