Question 1

What do mechanical 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 21 recorded sales of the 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER with mechanical damage, the median was $8,350, from $3,450 to $11,200. That is 4% above the $8,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,600 a good price for this 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

2897 comparable 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,000, spanning $4,450 to $11,900. At $5,600 this one went 30% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in FL - SANFORD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 251,644 miles high for a 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings at auction averaged 121,513 miles across 2897 sales, so at 251,644 miles this one sits 107% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
