Question 1

What do hail 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 84 recorded sales of the 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER with hail damage, the median was $11,500, from $8,400 to $14,800. That is 44% above the $8,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $14,600 a good price for this 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

2906 comparable 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,000, spanning $4,450 to $11,900. At $14,600 this one went 83% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

This TOYOTA HIGHLANDER has hail and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 105,796 miles high for a 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings at auction averaged 121,487 miles across 2906 sales, so at 105,796 miles this one sits 13% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
