Question 1

What do mechanical 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 18 recorded sales of the 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER with mechanical damage, the median was $7,100, from $5,000 to $9,600. That is level with the $7,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,900 a good price for this 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

3410 comparable 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings sold at auction for a median of $7,100, spanning $4,200 to $9,800. At $5,900 this one went 17% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER's pre-damage retail value at $18,175. It sold for $5,900 — 68% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This TOYOTA HIGHLANDER has mechanical and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 239,152 miles high for a 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings at auction averaged 133,193 miles across 3410 sales, so at 239,152 miles this one sits 80% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

How far is this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in PA - PENNSBURG. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
