Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 21 recorded sales of the 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $8,450, from $4,550 to $10,100. That is 20% above the $7,050 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,050 a good price for this 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

3506 comparable 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings sold at auction for a median of $7,050, spanning $4,200 to $9,800. At $3,050 this one went 57% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in TX - CORPUS CHRISTI. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 246,016 miles high for a 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings at auction averaged 133,402 miles across 3506 sales, so at 246,016 miles this one sits 84% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
