Question 1

Was $16,500 a good price for this 2025 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

1069 comparable 2025 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings sold at auction for a median of $21,400, spanning $11,300 to $32,150. At $16,500 this one went 23% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This TOYOTA HIGHLANDER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2025 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER's pre-damage retail value at $39,960. It sold for $16,500 — 59% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

This 2025 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

How far is this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in FL - HOMESTEAD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 46,140 miles high for a 2025 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2025 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings at auction averaged 13,342 miles across 1069 sales, so at 46,140 miles this one sits 246% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
