Question 1

What do vandalism 2020 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 20 recorded sales of the 2020 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER with vandalism damage, the median was $18,500, from $14,100 to $22,100. That is 41% above the $13,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $14,100 a good price for this 2020 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

2008 comparable 2020 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings sold at auction for a median of $13,100, spanning $7,325 to $18,600. At $14,100 this one went 8% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This TOYOTA HIGHLANDER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 223,689 miles high for a 2020 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER listings at auction averaged 86,735 miles across 2008 sales, so at 223,689 miles this one sits 158% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
