Question 1

What do top/roof 2017 TOYOTA COROLLA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 20 recorded sales of the 2017 TOYOTA COROLLA with top/roof damage, the median was $4,325, from $3,500 to $6,100. That is 11% above the $3,900 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,500 a good price for this 2017 TOYOTA COROLLA?

Accepted Answer

5681 comparable 2017 TOYOTA COROLLA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,900, spanning $3,100 to $5,500. At $4,500 this one went 15% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This TOYOTA COROLLA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this TOYOTA COROLLA sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 TOYOTA COROLLA's pre-damage retail value at $14,356. It sold for $4,500 — 69% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

This TOYOTA COROLLA has top/roof and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

What does a clean title mean for this TOYOTA COROLLA?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 TOYOTA COROLLA was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.
