Question 1

What do hail 2016 TOYOTA AVALON models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 24 recorded sales of the 2016 TOYOTA AVALON with hail damage, the median was $6,350, from $3,750 to $9,600. That is 48% above the $4,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,325 a good price for this 2016 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

826 comparable 2016 TOYOTA AVALON listings sold at auction for a median of $4,300, spanning $3,250 to $6,700. At $6,325 this one went 47% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this TOYOTA AVALON from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in OH - LORAIN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 430 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$525, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 143,771 miles high for a 2016 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 TOYOTA AVALON listings at auction averaged 110,591 miles across 826 sales, so at 143,771 miles this one sits 30% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 TOYOTA AVALON. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Who sold this 2016 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
