Question 1

What do rear end 2018 TOYOTA AVALON models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 70 recorded sales of the 2018 TOYOTA AVALON with rear end damage, the median was $6,100, from $3,500 to $9,100. That is 13% above the $5,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,450 a good price for this 2018 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

443 comparable 2018 TOYOTA AVALON listings sold at auction for a median of $5,400, spanning $3,450 to $8,300. At $3,450 this one went 36% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This TOYOTA AVALON sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this TOYOTA AVALON sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 TOYOTA AVALON's pre-damage retail value at $19,273. It sold for $3,450 — 82% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

Is 117,397 miles high for a 2018 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 TOYOTA AVALON listings at auction averaged 97,574 miles across 443 sales, so at 117,397 miles this one sits 20% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

How far is this TOYOTA AVALON from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MS - FLORENCE. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 180 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $225-$325, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
