Question 1

Was $7,900 a good price for this 2020 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

337 comparable 2020 TOYOTA AVALON listings sold at auction for a median of $9,425, spanning $5,400 to $13,000. At $7,900 this one went 16% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This TOYOTA AVALON sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this TOYOTA AVALON sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 TOYOTA AVALON's pre-damage retail value at $16,806. It sold for $7,900 — 53% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a non-repairable mean for this TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 TOYOTA AVALON was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 5

How far is this TOYOTA AVALON from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in TX - WILMER. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 146,980 miles high for a 2020 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 TOYOTA AVALON listings at auction averaged 79,571 miles across 337 sales, so at 146,980 miles this one sits 85% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
