Question 1

What do rear end 2018 TOYOTA AVALON models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 70 recorded sales of the 2018 TOYOTA AVALON with rear end damage, the median was $6,100, from $3,500 to $9,100. That is 13% above the $5,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,000 a good price for this 2018 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

443 comparable 2018 TOYOTA AVALON listings sold at auction for a median of $5,400, spanning $3,450 to $8,300. At $7,000 this one went 30% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this TOYOTA AVALON sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 TOYOTA AVALON's pre-damage retail value at $20,463. It sold for $7,000 — 66% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 TOYOTA AVALON. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 TOYOTA AVALON was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 74,417 miles high for a 2018 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 TOYOTA AVALON listings at auction averaged 97,574 miles across 443 sales, so at 74,417 miles this one sits 24% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
