Question 1

What do rear 2020 TOYOTA AVALON models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 23 recorded sales of the 2020 TOYOTA AVALON with rear damage, the median was $10,225, from $7,150 to $12,900. That is 9% above the $9,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $11,300 a good price for this 2020 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

351 comparable 2020 TOYOTA AVALON listings sold at auction for a median of $9,400, spanning $5,300 to $13,000. At $11,300 this one went 20% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This TOYOTA AVALON sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this TOYOTA AVALON from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in PA - LATIMORE TOWNSHIP. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 112,508 miles high for a 2020 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 TOYOTA AVALON listings at auction averaged 79,548 miles across 351 sales, so at 112,508 miles this one sits 41% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2020 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was ERIE INSURANCE GROUP. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
