Question 1

What do mechanical 2023 TESLA MODEL Y models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 18 recorded sales of the 2023 TESLA MODEL Y with mechanical damage, the median was $9,400, from $5,700 to $16,100. That is 13% below the $10,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $16,700 a good price for this 2023 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

7983 comparable 2023 TESLA MODEL Y listings sold at auction for a median of $10,800, spanning $6,100 to $15,700. At $16,700 this one went 55% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This TESLA MODEL Y sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

This TESLA MODEL Y has mechanical and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does a clear mean for this TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 TESLA MODEL Y was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 6

Is 50,477 miles high for a 2023 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 TESLA MODEL Y listings at auction averaged 37,580 miles across 7983 sales, so at 50,477 miles this one sits 34% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
