Question 1

What do left side 2023 TESLA MODEL Y models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 256 recorded sales of the 2023 TESLA MODEL Y with left side damage, the median was $11,325, from $6,450 to $15,900. That is 4% above the $10,900 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $17,500 a good price for this 2023 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

8490 comparable 2023 TESLA MODEL Y listings sold at auction for a median of $10,900, spanning $6,200 to $15,700. At $17,500 this one went 61% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This TESLA MODEL Y sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this TESLA MODEL Y from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - LOS ANGELES. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 11,804 miles high for a 2023 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 TESLA MODEL Y listings at auction averaged 38,293 miles across 8490 sales, so at 11,804 miles this one sits 69% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2023 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was MERCURY INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
