Question 1

What do front end 2025 TESLA MODEL Y models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 796 recorded sales of the 2025 TESLA MODEL Y with front end damage, the median was $12,100, from $6,800 to $17,300. That is 5% below the $12,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $10,100 a good price for this 2025 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

1844 comparable 2025 TESLA MODEL Y listings sold at auction for a median of $12,800, spanning $7,000 to $18,150. At $10,100 this one went 21% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This TESLA MODEL Y sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2025 TESLA MODEL Y. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a non-repairable mean for this TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

This 2025 TESLA MODEL Y was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 6

Is 40,246 miles high for a 2025 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2025 TESLA MODEL Y listings at auction averaged 14,875 miles across 1844 sales, so at 40,246 miles this one sits 171% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
