What do rear end 2023 TESLA MODEL Y models sell for?

Across 1383 recorded sales of the 2023 TESLA MODEL Y with rear end damage, the median was $11,400, from $6,800 to $15,800. That is 6% above the $10,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Was $6,500 a good price for this 2023 TESLA MODEL Y?

8218 comparable 2023 TESLA MODEL Y listings sold at auction for a median of $10,800, spanning $6,100 to $15,700. At $6,500 this one went 40% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this TESLA MODEL Y sell for?

The insurer put this 2023 TESLA MODEL Y's pre-damage retail value at $34,742. It sold for $6,500 — 81% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

What does a salvage title mean for this TESLA MODEL Y?

This 2023 TESLA MODEL Y was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Is 28,589 miles high for a 2023 TESLA MODEL Y?

Comparable 2023 TESLA MODEL Y listings at auction averaged 37,838 miles across 8218 sales, so at 28,589 miles this one sits 24% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 TESLA MODEL Y. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
