Question 1

What do side 2023 TESLA MODEL Y models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 809 recorded sales of the 2023 TESLA MODEL Y with side damage, the median was $11,200, from $6,800 to $15,900. That is 4% above the $10,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,500 a good price for this 2023 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

8215 comparable 2023 TESLA MODEL Y listings sold at auction for a median of $10,800, spanning $6,100 to $15,700. At $12,500 this one went 16% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this TESLA MODEL Y sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2023 TESLA MODEL Y's pre-damage retail value at $34,644. It sold for $12,500 — 64% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 TESLA MODEL Y was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

Is 17,340 miles high for a 2023 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 TESLA MODEL Y listings at auction averaged 37,859 miles across 8215 sales, so at 17,340 miles this one sits 54% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This TESLA MODEL Y has side and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
