Question 1

What do rear end 2022 TESLA MODEL Y models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 705 recorded sales of the 2022 TESLA MODEL Y with rear end damage, the median was $10,000, from $6,000 to $14,200. That is 3% above the $9,700 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $13,300 a good price for this 2022 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

4170 comparable 2022 TESLA MODEL Y listings sold at auction for a median of $9,700, spanning $5,400 to $14,300. At $13,300 this one went 37% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this TESLA MODEL Y sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 TESLA MODEL Y's pre-damage retail value at $24,287. It sold for $13,300 — 45% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this TESLA MODEL Y from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NC - DUNN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 280 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$325, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 69,616 miles high for a 2022 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 TESLA MODEL Y listings at auction averaged 56,018 miles across 4170 sales, so at 69,616 miles this one sits 24% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does a salvage title mean for this TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 TESLA MODEL Y was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.
