Question 1

What do rear end 2021 TESLA MODEL Y models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 651 recorded sales of the 2021 TESLA MODEL Y with rear end damage, the median was $8,600, from $5,600 to $12,500. That is 2% above the $8,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

How far is this TESLA MODEL Y from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - MARTINEZ. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 TESLA MODEL Y. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 26,323 miles high for a 2021 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 TESLA MODEL Y listings at auction averaged 67,560 miles across 3914 sales, so at 26,323 miles this one sits 61% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2021 TESLA MODEL Y come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with rear end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
