Question 1

What do side 2021 TESLA MODEL Y models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 401 recorded sales of the 2021 TESLA MODEL Y with side damage, the median was $8,600, from $5,800 to $12,600. That is 4% above the $8,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,900 a good price for this 2021 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

3795 comparable 2021 TESLA MODEL Y listings sold at auction for a median of $8,300, spanning $4,900 to $12,600. At $6,900 this one went 17% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this TESLA MODEL Y sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2021 TESLA MODEL Y's pre-damage retail value at $26,264. It sold for $6,900 — 74% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this TESLA MODEL Y from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NV - NORTH LAS VEGAS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 350 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$425, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

This TESLA MODEL Y has side and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 70,962 miles high for a 2021 TESLA MODEL Y?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 TESLA MODEL Y listings at auction averaged 67,070 miles across 3795 sales, so at 70,962 miles this one sits 6% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
