Question 1

What do front end 2016 TESLA MODEL S models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 447 recorded sales of the 2016 TESLA MODEL S with front end damage, the median was $4,800, from $3,300 to $7,200. That is 3% below the $4,950 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This TESLA MODEL S has front end and left rear damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 3

Is 201,765 miles high for a 2016 TESLA MODEL S?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 TESLA MODEL S listings at auction averaged 105,236 miles across 963 sales, so at 201,765 miles this one sits 92% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Did this 2016 TESLA MODEL S come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 5

Who sold this 2016 TESLA MODEL S?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was ERIE INSURANCE GROUP. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 5YJSA1E28GF129394?

Accepted Answer

5YJSA1E28GF129394 identifies this specific 2016 TESLA MODEL S in grey with a electric engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
