Question 1

What do rear 2016 TESLA MODEL S models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 31 recorded sales of the 2016 TESLA MODEL S with rear damage, the median was $4,925, from $3,250 to $7,500. That is 1% below the $4,950 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,450 a good price for this 2016 TESLA MODEL S?

Accepted Answer

974 comparable 2016 TESLA MODEL S listings sold at auction for a median of $4,950, spanning $3,350 to $7,450. At $4,450 this one went 10% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a bill of sale mean for this TESLA MODEL S?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 TESLA MODEL S was sold on a bill of sale. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 4

How far is this TESLA MODEL S from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in WA - PUYALLUP. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 60 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 126,937 miles high for a 2016 TESLA MODEL S?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 TESLA MODEL S listings at auction averaged 105,390 miles across 974 sales, so at 126,937 miles this one sits 20% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 TESLA MODEL S. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
