Question 1

What do front end 2020 TESLA MODEL S models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 132 recorded sales of the 2020 TESLA MODEL S with front end damage, the median was $9,000, from $4,450 to $14,200. That is 6% below the $9,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,700 a good price for this 2020 TESLA MODEL S?

Accepted Answer

271 comparable 2020 TESLA MODEL S listings sold at auction for a median of $9,550, spanning $5,400 to $14,500. At $9,700 this one went 2% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this TESLA MODEL S sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 TESLA MODEL S's pre-damage retail value at $39,860. It sold for $9,700 — 76% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This TESLA MODEL S has front end and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this TESLA MODEL S?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 TESLA MODEL S was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 51,492 miles high for a 2020 TESLA MODEL S?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 TESLA MODEL S listings at auction averaged 70,396 miles across 271 sales, so at 51,492 miles this one sits 27% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
