Question 1

What do front end 2017 TESLA MODEL S models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 392 recorded sales of the 2017 TESLA MODEL S with front end damage, the median was $5,700, from $3,600 to $8,900. That is 5% below the $6,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,900 a good price for this 2017 TESLA MODEL S?

Accepted Answer

869 comparable 2017 TESLA MODEL S listings sold at auction for a median of $6,000, spanning $3,600 to $9,500. At $7,900 this one went 32% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this TESLA MODEL S?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 TESLA MODEL S was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

Is 134,890 miles high for a 2017 TESLA MODEL S?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 TESLA MODEL S listings at auction averaged 96,289 miles across 869 sales, so at 134,890 miles this one sits 40% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

How far is this TESLA MODEL S from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in IN - INDIANAPOLIS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 600 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $500-$725, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Who sold this 2017 TESLA MODEL S?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
