Question 1

This TESLA MODEL 3 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

How far is this TESLA MODEL 3 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in GA - LAKE CITY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 250 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

This TESLA MODEL 3 has front & rear and left & right side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 2,838 miles high for a 2026 TESLA MODEL 3?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2026 TESLA MODEL 3 listings at auction averaged 4,137 miles across 377 sales, so at 2,838 miles this one sits 31% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN 5YJ3E1EA1TF166989?

Accepted Answer

5YJ3E1EA1TF166989 identifies this specific 2026 TESLA MODEL 3 in black with a electric engine, rear wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2026 TESLA MODEL 3 from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2026 TESLA MODEL 3 was listed at IAAI as lot 45609716 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
