Question 1

Was $4,450 a good price for this 2017 TESLA MODEL 3?

Accepted Answer

70 comparable 2017 TESLA MODEL 3 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,500, spanning $3,400 to $6,600. At $4,450 this one went 1% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this TESLA MODEL 3?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 TESLA MODEL 3 was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this TESLA MODEL 3 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - GARDENA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 82,612 miles high for a 2017 TESLA MODEL 3?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 TESLA MODEL 3 listings at auction averaged 80,426 miles across 70 sales, so at 82,612 miles this one sits 3% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2017 TESLA MODEL 3?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was MERCURY INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Did this 2017 TESLA MODEL 3 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with right front damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
