Question 1

What do front end 2018 TESLA MODEL 3 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1355 recorded sales of the 2018 TESLA MODEL 3 with front end damage, the median was $5,100, from $3,350 to $7,400. That is 4% below the $5,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,400 a good price for this 2018 TESLA MODEL 3?

Accepted Answer

3547 comparable 2018 TESLA MODEL 3 listings sold at auction for a median of $5,300, spanning $3,500 to $7,900. At $8,400 this one went 58% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This TESLA MODEL 3 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this TESLA MODEL 3 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 TESLA MODEL 3's pre-damage retail value at $19,224. It sold for $8,400 — 56% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 TESLA MODEL 3. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

This TESLA MODEL 3 has front end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
