Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2018 NISSAN ROGUE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 93 recorded sales of the 2018 NISSAN ROGUE with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $3,975, from $3,100 to $6,200. That is 9% above the $3,650 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,400 a good price for this 2018 NISSAN ROGUE?

Accepted Answer

3683 comparable 2018 NISSAN ROGUE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,650, spanning $3,100 to $5,100. At $4,400 this one went 21% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This NISSAN ROGUE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this NISSAN ROGUE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 NISSAN ROGUE's pre-damage retail value at $16,925. It sold for $4,400 — 74% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

How far is this NISSAN ROGUE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - RANCHO CUCAMONGA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 42,400 miles high for a 2018 NISSAN ROGUE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 NISSAN ROGUE listings at auction averaged 83,625 miles across 3683 sales, so at 42,400 miles this one sits 49% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
