Question 1

How far is this NISSAN MURANO from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IA - DES MOINES. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 1,000 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $650-$950, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 2

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 NISSAN MURANO. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

This NISSAN MURANO has top/roof and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 77,398 miles high for a 2018 NISSAN MURANO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 NISSAN MURANO listings at auction averaged 87,761 miles across 665 sales, so at 77,398 miles this one sits 12% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2018 NISSAN MURANO come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with top/roof damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 5N1AZ2MH2JN186324?

Accepted Answer

5N1AZ2MH2JN186324 identifies this specific 2018 NISSAN MURANO in brown with a 3.5l 6 engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
