Question 1

What does a salvage-british columbia mean for this NISSAN ALTIMA?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA was sold on a salvage-british columbia. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 2

This NISSAN ALTIMA has under carriage and right front damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 3

Is 178,868 miles high for a 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA listings at auction averaged 81,009 miles across 593 sales, so at 178,868 miles this one sits 121% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Did this 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with under carriage damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN 1FM5K8ARXHGC10583?

Accepted Answer

1FM5K8ARXHGC10583 identifies this specific 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA in black with a 3.7l v6 fi dohc 24v nf4 engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA was listed at IAAI as lot 40090145 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
