Question 1

What do front end 2018 NISSAN ALTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 196 recorded sales of the 2018 NISSAN ALTIMA with front end damage, the median was $3,400, from $3,050 to $4,200. That is 3% below the $3,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,725 a good price for this 2018 NISSAN ALTIMA?

Accepted Answer

723 comparable 2018 NISSAN ALTIMA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,500, spanning $3,050 to $4,700. At $3,725 this one went 6% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this NISSAN ALTIMA?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 NISSAN ALTIMA was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this NISSAN ALTIMA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - LOS ANGELES. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 NISSAN ALTIMA. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 38,347 miles high for a 2018 NISSAN ALTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 NISSAN ALTIMA listings at auction averaged 81,448 miles across 723 sales, so at 38,347 miles this one sits 53% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
