Question 1

What do front end 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 175 recorded sales of the 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA with front end damage, the median was $3,350, from $3,050 to $4,050. That is 3% below the $3,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This NISSAN ALTIMA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How far is this NISSAN ALTIMA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in KY - EMINENCE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 500 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $425-$600, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Who sold this 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was ERIE INSURANCE GROUP. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN 1N4AL3AP8HC164220?

Accepted Answer

1N4AL3AP8HC164220 identifies this specific 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA with a 2.5l i-4 dohc, vvt, 179hp engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA was listed at IAAI as lot 42912842 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
