Question 1

What do side 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 47 recorded sales of the 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA with side damage, the median was $3,350, from $3,000 to $4,000. That is 3% below the $3,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,000 a good price for this 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA?

Accepted Answer

599 comparable 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,450, spanning $3,050 to $4,450. At $3,000 this one went 13% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this NISSAN ALTIMA sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA's pre-damage retail value at $12,988. It sold for $3,000 — 77% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this NISSAN ALTIMA?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

Is 116,268 miles high for a 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 NISSAN ALTIMA listings at auction averaged 81,070 miles across 599 sales, so at 116,268 miles this one sits 43% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

How far is this NISSAN ALTIMA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MN - BLAINE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 1,100 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $725-$1,050, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
