Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2016 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 37 recorded sales of the 2016 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $3,625, from $3,100 to $4,600. That is 5% above the $3,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,600 a good price for this 2016 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER?

Accepted Answer

241 comparable 2016 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER listings sold at auction for a median of $3,450, spanning $3,000 to $4,300. At $3,600 this one went 4% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER's pre-damage retail value at $7,598. It sold for $3,600 — 53% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CT - EAST GRANBY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 112,459 miles high for a 2016 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER listings at auction averaged 103,531 miles across 241 sales, so at 112,459 miles this one sits 9% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
