Question 1

This MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE CROSS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

How far is this MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE CROSS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NY - MEDFORD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE CROSS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 70,746 miles high for a 2019 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE CROSS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE CROSS listings at auction averaged 85,964 miles across 235 sales, so at 70,746 miles this one sits 18% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2019 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE CROSS?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was GEICO. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2019 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE CROSS from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2019 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE CROSS was listed at IAAI as lot 41843923 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
