Question 1

Was $11,375 a good price for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS?

Accepted Answer

175 comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,400, spanning $3,500 to $11,100. At $11,375 this one went 78% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a clear-hi mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS was sold on a clear-hi. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

This MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS has rear and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 58,180 miles high for a 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS listings at auction averaged 126,611 miles across 175 sales, so at 58,180 miles this one sits 54% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
