Question 1

Was $6,050 a good price for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS?

Accepted Answer

175 comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,400, spanning $3,500 to $11,100. At $6,050 this one went 5% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 66,670 miles high for a 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS listings at auction averaged 126,611 miles across 175 sales, so at 66,670 miles this one sits 47% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2018 MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Where was this MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in HI - KAPOLEI. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.
